Built by a qualified social worker who has worked inside the system — understanding risk, safeguarding and what good support really looks like.
Jowocare provides specialist supported living for adults with complex needs — including those with mental health conditions and learning disabilities — whether referred through a local authority or arranged privately.
That social work background shapes everything we do. We understand the complexity of multi-agency working, what commissioners need to see, and — equally — what individuals and families need to feel genuinely supported.
"People fall through the gaps between services. We close them."
We coordinate across professionals, outreach services and community resources — ensuring every individual has a joined-up network around them, not just a placement.
Founded by a qualified independent social worker, our approach to risk, safeguarding and support planning reflects years of working directly within the system — not alongside it.
We focus on independence, stability and long-term progress — not just day-to-day care. Every support plan is built around the individual.
We go beyond placement — coordinating the full network of support around each individual so nothing falls through the gaps.
Stable, structured placements matched carefully to individual needs and goals — including step-up from children's services for young adults from 18.
Specialist support for individuals with complex needs, delivered with empathy and structure.
We actively connect with outreach teams, community services and specialist providers — signposting individuals to the right support at the right time.
Bespoke support plans and risk management frameworks built around each person — reviewed regularly and shared with all professionals involved.
Clear, timely reporting that gives local authorities and commissioners the visibility they need — without chasing us for updates.
We measure what actually changes for the people we support — not just activity.
We support adults from 18 upwards — including young people transitioning from children's services into adult provision, those with mental health conditions or learning disabilities, and individuals working towards greater independence.

Supported living can be funded in several ways depending on your situation. Here's an overview of the most common routes.
If you or the person you support has been assessed by your local council's adult social care team, they may fund the support package. This follows a Care Act needs assessment and is means-tested. A social worker or care coordinator will manage this process.
For individuals with a primary health need, the NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) may fund support through Continuing Healthcare (CHC) or joint funding arrangements with the local authority. This is typically for those with more complex health needs.
Some individuals fund their own support privately, or use a Direct Payment from the council to arrange their own care. This gives more flexibility and choice. Families can also fund support independently where LA funding isn't available or isn't sufficient.

London boroughs report growing unmet need for mental health and learning disability placements, and the transition from children's to adult services remains one of the most underserved pathways in the system. Jowocare was built to provide structured, connected support across both — for real people, not statistics.
Our practice is shaped by direct experience inside the statutory system — we understand risk, safeguarding and what commissioners need to see.
We don't just place people — we actively coordinate with outreach teams, community services and housing partners to build real networks of support.
Clear reporting, proactive communication and quick turnaround on referrals. You won't have to chase us — that's a promise, not a tagline.
We operate with full awareness of CQC standards and the regulatory landscape — building our practice to meet those expectations from day one.
Logos will appear here as memberships and partnerships are confirmed. If your organisation would like to partner with Jowocare, get in touch.
If you'd like to speak with us before making a referral, or have a question that isn't covered above — just get in touch. No obligation, no pressure.
